Gibraltar!

Last call in Europe, Gibraltar is a beautiful peninsula of 6843 square kilometres whose isthmus connects to the north with Spain.

When I was there, the weather was fantastic!! It was also my first clearance since I stepped into the 2nd Purser position. Was very nice and gave me a sense of "I can do it!". I had time to take some nice pictures and buy a magnetic for my husband and mine collections!

Me... thinking about my husband!!!

Antarctica

Yes, I have been there. This is one of the good things about working in a cruise ship. Everyday a different port, a different place, a different culture, a different country... well, pretty much, that is all. The bad things are way too many but it doesnt matter put them all here.

So, some pictures of beautiful Antarctica.

Swimming with Dolphins!

An opportunity of a life time... for just a few...

Laguna San Raphael

Laguna San Raphael, Chile!

Today, MS Insigna anchored in the famous Laguna San Raphael, located in the Chilean Fiordes. The place is fantastic and has an outstanding glacier that drops small, medium and large icebergs around its main body. Besides that, we can see wild life all over such as whales, penguins and seals.

The last two cruises, this one included, are being particularly boring, as we did a 25 nights from Rio de Janeiro all the way to Valparaiso with a disaster stop in Malvinas (we never made it, as we lost our anchor) and 5 days cruising Antarctica and now, we are in a 14 nights cruises on the way back to Buenos Aires.

Some pictures of this beautiful place can be seen below:

Laguna San Raphael was discovered in 1675. Floating in the lagoon are dozens of icebergs, fashioned by wind and rain, into monumental sculptures, holes and all, with such a vibrant electric-blue color that they appear to be lit from within.

Sailing around these icy phantoms, we approach the giant glacier at the end of the lagoon, rearing out of the water; it really is a dizzying sight, much to the enjoyment of any photographer.

Pics taken by my husband!!!

Flower in the balcony of the apartment!

My beloved husband is an expert when the subject is pictures. He comes with any kind of camera and transform something simple in a superb shot.

Husband taking pictures, focus in the equipment!

Focus on that, we really want to develop his skills and run a business in this segment. Investments had been made and for sure, as soon as I leave from this endless contract onboard MS Insignia, I will be able to work with him and make things succeed.

Meanwhile, I am posting some nice pictures he took:
